Hello from new member

Message par jaybe »

Hi,
I am originally from Scotland now living in South West France. I have been a life-long fan of the marque. At last, I think I am in a position to own one. I would prefer to import an S series or perhaps a 350i and wondered if anyone has any experience of doing this. Is it possible? I know it won't be easy! I am happy to drive a RHD car as both of my other cars are.

Regards
John

Merci,

I live in Tarn et Garonne (82).

Having spent some time reading the posts on the board, it seems I may have to consider a Chimaera instead. It is unfortunate because I very much like the classic models. But I would also be happy with a Chimaera.

Felicitations
John

Thank you very much gibus3579.

Your information was very useful. I am now in the process of buying a Taimar.

I will post some pictures when I get it here and look forward to meeting you and the other members at some future meetings.

I will try to make all of my future posts in French. Please feel free to inform me of any mistakes as that is the only way I will learn.

Once more my thanks to everyone,

John

John,

Sorry not to have replied sooner, but I don't check the site often as I've not had much reponse in the past.

We live in Charente Maritime (SW France) and have been here since 2003. I imported a RHD Chimaera in 2005, bought from a dealer in North London and had a bit of a nightmare with French registration. However, after some weeks of battle with the authorities here all is now well.

If I can be of any help, or should you fancy meeting up at any time, please drop me a line at

malc_986@hotmail.com

As a Scot myself I'll sign off with "Orrabest"!!
