Bonjour

Ma voiture est en préparation pour son CT mais j'ai rencontré une problème.

Le centre de CT locale m'a dit qu'ils n'acceptent plus des feux avec "réalignement stickers". J'ai le lentelles, et j'ai essayé de trouver les reflecteurs, que (je comprend) sont d'origine Scania camion 258758, et ne sont plus fabriqués.

Est-ce qu'il y'a quelqu'un qui peux offrir de avis et un solution svp.

My car is being prepared for its CT but I have encountered a problem.

The local CT centre has advised me that they no longer accept beam adjustment using adhesive stickers. I have the lenses, but not the reflectors, which, I understand, originate from a Scania 258758 lorry, and are no longer manufactured.

Does anyone have any advice and, better still, a solution please.

Parts for TVR were selling some reflectors for continental driving and only those. And I've read that some UK users were drilling them to convert them to RHD specifications.
So I guess that the opposite should be doable. But without template this should be tricky.
Mine is limit for the CT, I suppose that the previous owner who homologated it in France, did not change the reflectors but the settings.

Parts-for-TVRs supplied the lenses but have said that they can no longer source the reflectors. (They have, BTW, announced that they have lost the right to sell new material very recently ... within the past week.) I know they originated from a Scania 258758 lorry, but theirs for driving in Europe were discontinued in 2014. Two suppliers online in Germany and Latvia claim to have them but both are ignoring my messages so far. I am speaking to TVR Heritage, but no luck so far.

A quick update.

My Chimaera 4 litre passed its CT with beam deflectors attached.

Central TVR have resumed making headlamp kits for all TVRs including those for continental driving without beam-benders.

A reminder that the Chimaera 4.5 litre cannot be registered on French plates. (No I don't know why).

I have read few days ago a post on FB where someone said that VW Transporter T2 bowls are working. You need to drill holes in it to insert the lamps but the diameter is apparently correct. Worth a try as their are relatively cheap. Personally I think I will try as mine are well corroded.

Apparently the Chimaera back lights came from a 1986 Ford Fiesta.

Yes they are, mounted upside down.
